Completed in 2017, the statue of the Hindu God, Lord Shiva, rises to a height of 112 Ft. and is located at the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains near Coimbatore. It was designed by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and inaugurated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. It is believed that Lord Shiva was the originator of Yoga and hence the name Adiyogi, which means, the first yogi. Casted in steel, this statue is an imposing presence. This monument merits a visit to witness the sheer amount of architectural effort that went into its construction.
